"A poetic, cross-cultural examination of the universal themes of family and loss, captured with unblinking clarity."
- The Hollywood Reporter

Breaking Bread is a moving portrait of a North Korean immigrant family living in New York. When the father of the family becomes very ill, he invites their Iranian friend (filmmaker Hamid Rahmanian) to prepare one final meal for him and his family.

This poetic journey explores with great sensitivity the quiet interaction of two radically different cultres through the celebration of one ordinary life.
